Hello! I’m Pedro, currently working as a Fullstack Software Engineer at GOK | Inovação Digital.

I’m someone who genuinely enjoys solving problems. I see problems as an inherent part of life: we will inevitably run into them every day. So, if problems are always going to exist, why not get ahead of them? Because of this, I tend to be very solution-driven — when something needs to be done, my mind immediately starts scheming the cleanest way to solve it. Computational thinking has become my baseline engine for everything.

This mindset helped me organize my priorities and set clear personal and professional goals. One of these goals is developing the practice of sharing knowledge — and writing on this blog is an essential part of my journey in tackling that challenge.

UniEspaços: From Classroom to Real-World Production Link to heading

Among my personal projects, the one that brings me the greatest satisfaction is UniEspaços. It brings me genuine joy knowing that an initiative that originated inside a Software Engineering I classroom is now running in production at UESB (State University of Southwestern Bahia) in Jequié/BA, and is actively expanding across all three university campuses.

This was a project built with 100% dedication, aimed at delivering something genuinely useful for students and faculty. The university embraced the idea and officially deployed it. It has been amazing to see the positive impact across departments: currently serving ~600 active users with an expansion roadmap targeting 5,000 to 10,000 users — presenting me with real-world software engineering challenges at scale.
